黃巧娴，當代香港意識流畫派的創始人之一，以其獨特風格和豐富學識，在香港藝壇中嶄露頭角。她不僅是藝術的實踐者，更是文化傳承的推動者。出生於廣東，自幼便受到日本當代藝術巨擘、「圓點女王」草間彌生的啟蒙影響，為其日後的創作道路奠定深厚根基。她跨足多個領域，既擁有法學學士學位，又取得工商管理研究生文憑，展現出藝術與學術並重的多元背景。
Chantelle Huang, one of the founders of the contemporary Hong Kongstream-of-consciousness painting movement, has emerged as a leading figure inthe local art scene with her distinctive style and interdisciplinaryachievements. More than just an artist, she is a dedicated advocate for culturalpreservation and innovation. Born in Guangdong Province, she was inspired from ayoung age by the legendary Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama, therenowned “Queen of Polka Dots,” laying a strong foundation for her artisticjourney. Her academic background spans multiple fields, holding a Bachelor’sdegree in Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in BusinessAdministration—demonstrating her ability to merge intellectual rigor withartistic expression.
中西交融，創立意識流畫派新風格
2010年，黃巧娴移居香港，這場文化交匯對她的創作產生深遠影響。在香港大一藝術設計學院修讀高級藝術文憑期間，她逐步跳脫傳統藝術框架，探索自由而靈動的表達方式。最終，她開創出理性以及新時代女性獨立思考的繪畫風格，在作品中展現出層層意境與時代感。她不拘形式、打破疆界，於實驗與直覺中構築屬於自己的藝術語言。
In 2010, Chantelle relocated to Hong Kong, where the fusion of mainland andlocal cultures profoundly influenced her creative evolution. While studying foran Advanced Diploma in Art and Design at Hong Kong Daai Arts Institute, shegradually broke away from conventional frameworks, embracing a freer, moreintuitive form of expression. Through this process, she developed a visuallanguage that reflects rationality and the independent spirit of modern women.Her work is layered with symbolism and contemporary nuance, challengingtraditional forms and embracing a uniquely personal style grounded in bothexperimentation and instinct.
作品特色，呈現理性感性交融之美
黃巧娴的作品風格兼具東西文化特質，線條流動奔放，筆觸中流露出高度直覺性的情感表達。她擅長運用層層疊加的筆法，營造畫面深度，透過冷暖對比與圖像解構，引發觀者對潛意識與自我感知的思考。其作品多表現女性的內在力量與精神自由，畫面構圖常含象徵與抽象意涵，寓意深遠。她認為繪畫是心靈與意識的延伸，每一幅作品皆是與觀者心靈對話的通道，亦是情感能量的具象呈現。
Chantelle’s works display a compelling blend of Eastern and Westernaesthetics. Her flowing, unrestrained lines and intuitive brushstrokes areimbued with emotional depth. She excels at using layered techniques to buildvisual depth, incorporating contrasts in tone and deconstructed imagery toprovoke introspection on the subconscious and self-awareness. Her art oftenexplores themes of feminine strength and spiritual freedom, with compositionsrich in abstract symbolism. To Chantelle, painting is an extension of the souland consciousness—a direct channel for emotional energy and a conversationbetween artist and viewer.
藝術策展，推廣香港文化新面貌
黃巧娴創作力旺盛，其作品充滿感性與生命力，觀者無不感受到一股撲面而來的蓬勃生機。她不僅醉心創作，更積極推動藝術在本地及國際間的交流與展示。她策劃多個具代表性的展覽，如《越港·藝萃展》、《不忘·初心》、《藝術無枷鎖》、《意識·型塑》等，展現其深厚的策展功力與藝術視野。而《越港·藝萃展》更是香港與越南兩地文化交流的重要里程碑，讓越南民眾能夠跨越地域與時間的界限，第一次與世界級藝術大師的作品面對面。因此她的展覽吸引著來自於世界各地的藝術愛好者，也讓不同年齡段的新晉藝術家們可以大展拳腳。而她的作品更被拍賣10萬元以上，足見其作品的收藏價值與市場認可。
Vibrant and emotionally resonant, Chantelle’s work leaves a lastingimpression of vitality and expressive force. Beyond her own artistic practice,she plays a vital role in promoting Hong Kong’s cultural identity throughcuratorial work and international exhibitions. Her notable projects includeVietnam–Hong Kong: Art Essence, Stay True to the Original Aspiration, ArtUnbound, and Forming Consciousness. The Vietnam–Hong Kong exhibition, inparticular, marked a milestone in cross-cultural exchange, allowing Vietnameseaudiences to engage directly with world-class art for the first time acrossborders.Her exhibitions have drawn global art enthusiasts while creatingvaluable platforms for emerging artists to showcase their talents. Many of herpieces have been auctioned for over HKD 100,000, reflecting her work’s growingrecognition in the art market.
她亦積極推動藝術評論與文化論述，曾於《成報》、《Lion RockDaily》等媒體撰寫專欄，同時在網易、騰訊、今日頭條、知乎、一點資訊等知名媒體發表多篇探討藝術發展與文化傳承的文章，進一步確立其在藝壇的重要地位。
She is also a prolific contributor to the field of cultural writing.Chantelle has published numerous columns in Sing Pao Daily News, Lion RockDaily, and other platforms such as NetEase, Tencent, Zhihu, Toutiao, and YidianZixun. Her writings explore the evolution of art and cultural heritage, furthersolidifying her voice in contemporary art discourse.
志在傳承，為青年藝術家賦能
除了創作與策展之外，黃巧娴亦長期投入藝術教育與公益事業，為年輕一代藝術家鋪路。2016年她創立並領導「香港國際青年藝術家協會」，致力推動本地青年藝術家的發展與國際交流。2022年更於加拿大成立「加拿大國際青年藝術家協會」，她深信藝術不應止於創作，更應成為連結社會、激發群體活力的橋樑。透過協會舉辦的展覽與活動，無數青年創作者得以展示自我、實現夢想。
In addition to her creative and curatorial achievements, Chantelle is apassionate educator and cultural leader. In 2016, she founded the Hong KongInternational Young Artists Association, a platform dedicated to nurturing younglocal artists and promoting international collaboration. In 2022, she extendedthis mission abroad by establishing the Canadian International Young ArtistsAssociation. Chantelle firmly believes that art should not exist in isolation,but rather serve as a bridge to society—one that activates collective creativityand empowers future generations.Through exhibitions, workshops, and outreachinitiatives, countless young artists have benefited from her mentorship andvision, gaining the opportunity to share their voices and realize theirdreams.
展望未來，藝術創作永不止步
黃巧娴對藝術始終抱持堅定的信念與熱情，持續拓展創作邊界。她相信，藝術不僅是自我表達的方式，更是喚起共鳴、啟發思考的力量。2025年8月27日至8月31日，將在香港中環下亞厘畢道二號藝穗會陳麗玲畫廊，舉辦由她策划的《藝·無識》展览，屆時將呈現其最新創作成果與精神探索，值得各界期待。
Chantelle Huang approaches art with unwavering conviction and passion,continuously pushing the boundaries of her creative practice. She believes thatart is not only a means of self-expression but also a powerful force forresonance and reflection. From August 27 to 31, 2025, she will curate theexhibition SATORI at the Anita Chan Lai-ling Gallery, Fringe Club, 2 LowerAlbert Road, Central, Hong Kong. The exhibition will present her latest artisticachievements and spiritual explorations, promising to be a highly anticipatedevent.
